Things are going well here. This week has been crazy busy trying to figure all of the logistics out for Jennifer's baptism. Mainly we just need to coordinate with the capi because they need to conduct the baptismal interview and they live pretty far away so It's hard for them to come. But it will all work out. They are gonna come on Friday so that we can announce it in church that Sunday. It's gonna be really really good. She is ready.
We also should have two other baptisms the week after and then maybe more the week after. Dang. I felt like a South American missionary writing that just there. This is the most people on date that I have had in my mission and I think that we can get even more. It's all been the Lord. There was nothing that my companion or I did. I mean yeah we have been working our hardest but alla fine it's been miracles straight from above and the faith of these people. Emmanuel told us in our last lesson that his roommate gave him an ultimatum and said that if he doesn't stop going to our church, he will be kicked out onto the street. That really sucked. He said he was really stressed and didn't know what to do. He was going through a really rough time. We didn't know what to tell him at first. We just continued with the planned lesson which was the plan of salvation. During the lesson I couldn't stop thinking about Emmanuel's situation. I felt impressed to share with him the part in DC where Joseph is in liberty jail. Joseph says, "Oh God where art Thou, and where is the pavilion that covereth thy hiding place" Then God says, figlio mio, pace all tua anima, le tue afflizioni saranno solo un breve momento" I absolutely love that.
He doesn't say, "I will free from this prison" In fact he wasn't freed from there for many months. The living conditions where horrible. the food was scarce. I imagine it was really hard. But if we look at Heavenly Father's plan for us, This life is just a very very small part of eternity. I was able to testify to Emmanuel that if he supported this affliction with faith and diligence for this brief moment, than everything would be ok. I could tell that it hit him. After the lesson he said to us that he didn't care and that he was gonna come to church anyways because that's where he felt happy. Next Sunday there he was. He even told us that he talked with his roommate man to man and said what he knew he had to do. thankfully everything went smoothly and he was able to keep his place and still come to church. That was a miracle. And it came straight from Emmanuel's faith. He's amazing.
So yeah that's the haps this week. Thing's are going very well and I am happy.
I love you guys. Ciao!!!
