Week 57

Hey you Guys!

I'll have to write quick today.  We went to San Marino for the first time in forever!  We've been trying to go there for a while but it's been rainy and gross.  Today was also rainy and gross but we just said non ce ne frega and went anyways #imarebel

This week has been a good week.  We've had ups and downs like always.  But overall it was good.  Mainly what we've been doing is preparing all our peeps for their big day which will now be all on the same day!  J, E, Ruth, and now we just added C will all be baptized this Saturday.  It's gonna be an amazing day.  ALSO I totally forgot to mention that this last Saturday J was baptized!  It was amazing.  These past couple of transfers we have really been blessed and we have seen a lot of miracles.

When we were talking about a date also for C and R, J was like "I opened a door" and I was like "yeah you did"  cuz she did.  Big time.  The Spirit was strong last time we where over there and we were even able to call a fellow missionary who speaks Twi and he when over the baptismal interview questions with R.  It was a really cool experience to see the Gospel being taught in Twi.  It makes me think of that quote that I know the exact citation to but I am purposely witholding where it says the Gospel will be preached to all nations in all tongues.  Be it English, Italian or Twi the Gospel is the same.  And then after that G the youngest kid started acting out and R disciplined him like crazy ðŸ˜‚.  African parents are hard core.

Before I conclude I just to say a few words... shoutout to Marianna from English class and shoutout to Emma my comp's sister.  I know that they are the only ones who read my mission blog.  If anyone else wants a shoutout they can cantact me personally.

That's all for now!  I love you guys!

Week 56

Hey Everybloody how's it going?  Everything gudu?

Everything here this week is going just swell.  They pulled out the sister missionaries from Ravenna and so they had to dump all of their work onto us.  Which we are grateful for but at the same time it's gonna be a looot of work.  We're gonna be grindin.  It's gonna be awesome.

If everything goes well we will have 3 baptisms (Jenifer, Jude, Emmanuel)  right at the beginning of this transfer and then we will work really hard with some other people who really have a lot of potential.  Things are going well and I'm happy.  I hope that that happiness doesn't just come from the success we have been having.  I hope to be able to be happy even when it's really hard and discouraging.  That's what it's all about.  Being happy and faithful even throughout trials.

Also... we were at this meal appointment and I don't remember how it got brought up but we started talking about this member's dating life and how if he wants an eternal companion he needs to search.  He then pulled out this dating app lds singles and showed us that he in fact has been searching ðŸ˜‚  then the sisters started going through different potentials for him it was fun haha.  So I figured I'd contact my sources back in America and spread the word that there is a snack named Mauro Baroni who's looking for an eternal companion.  He can cook, he's super nice, and he's hilarious.  I'll attach a pic.  ðŸ˜‚

I'm getting so pumped for Christmas!!!!!!!!  We even got a tree and decorated it.  I love Christmas.

I love and miss you guys a lot and a lot.  Make sure the grills are doin' good in school so they can come to byu and hang with me.  And also tell them boys go to college to get more knowledge and girls go to Jupiter to get more stupider.  I realize that those two things that I just said contradict but I meant what I said.

Anyways that all for now folks!  Ciao ciao

Week 55

Hey Fam hows it?

Things are going well here.  This week has been crazy busy trying to figure all of the logistics out for Jennifer's baptism.  Mainly we just need to coordinate with the capi because they need to conduct the baptismal interview and they live pretty far away so It's hard for them to come.  But it will all work out.  They are gonna come on Friday so that we can announce it in church that Sunday.  It's gonna be really really good.  She is ready.

We also should have two other baptisms the week after and then maybe more the week after.  Dang.  I felt like a South American missionary writing that just there.  This is the most people on date that I have had in my mission and I think that we can get even more.  It's all been the Lord.  There was nothing that my companion or I did.  I mean yeah we have been working our hardest but alla fine it's been miracles straight from above and the faith of these people.  Emmanuel told us in our last lesson that his roommate gave him an ultimatum and said that if he doesn't stop going to our church, he will be kicked out onto the street.  That really sucked.  He said he was really stressed and didn't know what to do.  He was going through a really rough time.  We didn't know what to tell him at first.  We just continued with the planned lesson which was the plan of salvation.  During the lesson I couldn't stop thinking about Emmanuel's situation.  I felt impressed to share with him the part in DC where Joseph is in liberty jail.  Joseph says, "Oh God where art Thou, and where is the pavilion that covereth thy hiding place"  Then God says, figlio mio, pace all tua anima,  le tue afflizioni saranno solo un breve momento"  I absolutely love that.

He doesn't say, "I will free from this prison"  In fact he wasn't freed from there for many months.  The living conditions where horrible.  the food was scarce.  I imagine it was really hard.  But if we look at Heavenly Father's plan for us,  This life is just a very very small part of eternity.  I was able to testify to Emmanuel that if he supported this affliction with faith and diligence for this brief moment, than everything would be ok.  I could tell that it hit him.  After the lesson he said to us that he didn't care and that he was gonna come to church anyways because that's where he felt happy.  Next Sunday there he was.  He even told us that he talked with his roommate man to man and said what he knew he had to do.  thankfully everything went smoothly and he was able to keep his place and still come to church.  That was a miracle.  And it came straight from Emmanuel's faith.  He's amazing.

So yeah that's the haps this week.  Thing's are going very well and I am happy.

I love you guys.  Ciao!!!

Week 54

Hey Everbloody!

How is everyone doing?  I miss you guys a lot and I hope that everything is good.

BUT I don't miss you guys THAT much because things are going great here!  we are working our hardy hardest.  And this week me and Anziano Ward made some really good personal and companion goals so that we can do even better.  Goals are important, you guys should make goals.

As for the work here, we were able to help another man named E... make the decision to be baptized!  He's awesome!  He just showed up in church 2 weeks ago.  I've realized that most of the elect people that are 'golden' and perfect for the Gospel just kinda find their way to us.

We were teaching A... and his family this week and we were talking about faith.  A... was able to bear a very strong testimony about faith.  He shared a story about when he crossed the Mediterranean in a raft with other people from Nigeria.  He was in a small boat with like 30 other people and they were in rough waters. Then a storm started brewing so apparently everybody in the boat turned to A... to pray so that they would be saved.  So A... prayed with faith.  Next thing ya know, they were found by some fishermen who then called the Italians who then came and picked them up in speedboats from the coast.  Crazy crazy story.  There was such an amazing Spirit while he spoke, and It was amazing to literally be able to see the results of his faith that day.  As a result of his faith he was able to make it to Italy and to stay and learn Italian and have his family sitting in the room with us.  Pretty cool.  Faith is powerful.

Another cool thing from this week is that I had another opportunity to give a priesthood blessing to a less active lady.  It was really cool.  I love it when I get to do that.

Anywho how's it going wit you guys?  It sounds like Halloween is in full swing.  Haha you gotta send me pics of all your costumes especially the dog ones.  Lod baud is DRIVING FORREALFORREAL?  That's wack yo.  Tell her not to crash Petrice and also to... getoutfromwayfromroundemboys

Anyways, I should sign off.  I love you all so so much.

Until next time!
